Centre Manager Job Description

Scholars School System is a project of UK CURRICULUM & ACCREDITATION BODY (UKCAB, a registered charity founded in 2006) having campuses across the United Kingdom which inlcudes Birmingham, Manchester, London, Bradford and Leicester is looking for a Centre Manager for the Leicester campus.

Scholars School System is a national independent higher education provider, offering world class education. Taught programmes, ranging from Foundation Year through to Level 7, delivered in partnership with institutions such as Leeds Trinity University. Over 5000 (UK and EU) learners have successfully completed their learning journey in the last five years with the current student population is over 3000.

Report to: Director of Operations

 

Purpose

 

Scholars School System is seeking to appoint a centre manager who will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities and duties at the centre. You will be required to handle the security, operational and financial matters while overseeing the booking of resources.


Responsibilities

 

·       Managing a Centre including overseeing centre management, health and safety and proactively manage staff.

·       Liaising with Head Office

·       Meeting and exceeding targets

·       Preparing weekly or monthly reports

·       Attending management meetings

·       Taking advantage of business opportunities

·       Performing administrative duties

·       Budgeting

·       Overseeing the upkeep of the building

·       Supervising staff

·       Handling daily ad hoc responsibilities

 

 

Requirements

Essential

 

·       Being computer literate including creating data sheets within Excel

·       Being innovative, creative and motivated

·       Excellent verbal and written communication

·       Being exceedingly organised

·       Being able to relate to people

·       Being influential, flexible, assertive and discrete

·       Leadership and management qualities including leading by example

·       Being an effective team player

·       Office management

·       Project management

·       Time management

·       Ideally minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position

·       Bachelor’s Degree or related subject

·       Management qualifications

·       Proven track record and evidence of managing a centre (ideally 500 – 1000+ students within UK Higher Education)

 

Salary and Benefits

·       £30,000 - £35,000 per year

·        Basic hours are 9am to 6pm on site

·        Evening and weekend work required as appropriate 

·        Trips away from the office are often required 

·        Holiday entitlement is 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays

·        Up to £5k annual incentives pro-rata given quarterly on meeting KPIs upon successful probation period

·        3% annual increase per year on completion from your start date of service and on meeting KPIs
