Introduction
The CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER / Group Chief Academic Officer will work independently and is responsible for overall operation, reporting to the Chairman. Candidate should have proven record as Provost and able to enhance national operation. Must have UK higher education leadership experience, must be able to engage new partnerships collaborative/franchise, can be able to achieve and maintain OfS accreditation, must have good knowledge of Qualification validation, curriculum development and can.
Can build team to achieve set targets and can work closely with stakeholders.
The Chief Executive Officer / Group Chief Academic Officer will have overall responsibility for the strategic management of Scholars School System. The post holder will provide vision, leadership and direction, overseeing overall operation, delivery and quality of teaching & learning. The post holder will work with the Directors, Provost, Deans & Associate deans to develop and execute strategies to achieve the organizational goals, with oversight of all nationwide activities in London, Birmingham, Leicester, Manchester, Bradford and at a number of group supported overseas locations.
Be responsible for
The major responsibilities of the post are in the areas of strategic management and leadership; relationship management; partner management; strategic communications, research uptake and public relations; financial oversight, contracts and reporting and human resource management. In particular, the CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER / GROUP CHIEF ACADEMIC OFFICER will act as liaison and primary point of contact between all external partners & Scholars School System. She/he will also manage relationships between partners within the organisation.
v Managing Organisation
She/he will responsible to create an organisational structure that reflects the organisational goals and enables the management systems, structures and processes to work effectively in line with legal requirements. She/he needs to establish and maintain necessary systems and processes for measuring necessary aspects of operational management and development. She/he needs to play or provide self-motivated, consistent and motivational leadership for the organisation and staff, ensuring the successful delivery of the aim and objectives of the organisation. Have to create, produce and implement clear, evidence-based development plans and policies for the development of the organisation. Ensure that the whole operation, quality and all available resources is monitored, evaluated and reviewed to improve the system of recruitment for all students and provide value for money; and that business plan targets are achieved.
Academic Management
Will be responsible for Teaching & Learning , academic excellence, student support & success, completion and progression.
v Human Resource Management
She/he will be responsible for the HRM in the organisation effectively to deliver the quality staff experience. Policies for new recruitment through different schemes like volunteers, apprentices, trainees and contract based staff. Recruit, retain, develop and deploy appropriately and assist in managing their tasks to achieve the goals of the organisation. Implement successful performance management processes with all staff, encouraging them to be active in personal and continuous professional development and have to ensure that effective leadership develops and engagement. Review regularly, set personal targets and take responsibility for own personal development, treat people fairly, with dignity and respect to create and maintain a positive culture, acknowledge people’s responsibilities and celebrate the achievements of teams and support and evaluation of work undertaken by teams and individuals, ensuring clear delegation of tasks and devolution of responsibilities
v Finance
Being a head She/he will also responsible for Finance including funding, new funding streams. Responsible for income and financial expansion. Seek and suggest efficiency in spending in order to maximise profits whilst maintaining quality design effective, relevant and efficient remuneration packages. v Accreditation and Affiliations for Compliance
With other departmental heads She/he will working coordination for Affiliation, Collaboration and Accreditation under full, bridging or mapped courses for or with awarding bodies. Establishing and maintaining relationships with university partners, Responsible for compliance of Quality Standard and monitoring. Having good understanding & interaction with OFS, QAA, UKVI and other awarding bodies including Universities.
Additional Duties
Undertake additional duties, as required. Take part in other projects, local / international. · Be a team member when and where required and undertake any assignment given as a member of the team.
