Scholars School System is a project of UK CURRICULUM & ACCREDITATION BODY (UKCAB, a registered charity founded in 2006) and has vibrant campuses across the United Kingdom in Birmingham, Manchester, London, Bradford, and Leicester.

We are in search of a dedicated Deputy Centre Manager for all our campuses to join our mission of delivering world-class education from Foundation Year to Level 7, in collaboration with prestigious partners like Leeds Trinity University. Over 5000 (UK and EU) learners have successfully completed their learning journey in the last five years with the current student population is over 3000.

Reporting to: Director of Operations

 

The Role: The Deputy Centre Manager supports the Centre Manager in the day-to-day operations of the Centre. This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless and efficient running of the campus and providing an excellent educational experience for students.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Support:

Assist in the daily management of the centre, encompassing administrative tasks, operational duties, and health and safety protocols.
Maintain a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment on campus.
Coordinate with maintenance and cleaning staff to uphold facility standards.
Student and Staff Management:

Aid the Centre Manager in managing the recruitment, training, and performance of staff.
Address student concerns and escalate significant issues to the Centre Manager when necessary.
Monitor staff performance and collaborate with department managers to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Facilitate staff inductions and onboarding processes.
Administrative Duties:

Contribute to the scheduling of classes, events, and various campus activities.
Manage the inventory of supplies and materials, ensuring timely procurement.
Generate quarterly and yearly reports detailing campus performance.
Oversee budgeting and manage petty cash operations.
Communication:

Act as a primary point of contact for students and staff, offering information and resolving issues.
Prepare and disseminate regular communications to the campus community.
Support the Centre Manager in conducting weekly staff meetings.
Engage with external partners, vendors, and companies for networking and collaboration.
Participate actively in management meetings.
Essential Qualifications:

Proficiency in computer literacy, including report writing and data management in Excel.
A strong sense of innovation, creativity, and motivation.
Excellent skills in verbal and written communication.
Exceptional organizational capabilities.
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
Effective team player with leadership qualities.
A proven track record in managing a team, preferably within UK Higher Education.
Compensation and Perks:

Salary: Competitive.
Working Hours: 9 am to 6 pm, on-site.
Flexibility for evening and weekend work as needed.
Travel requirements for business purposes.
Annual Leave: 28 days plus bank holidays.
Incentives: Up to £5k annually, based on quarterly KPIs post-probation.
Salary Growth: 3% annual increase, subject to KPI achievement.
