Scholars School System is a project of UK CURRICULUM & ACCREDITATION BODY (UKCAB, a registered charity founded in 2006) having campuses across the United Kingdom, is looking for an Associate Dean – Quality Assurance across all campuses which includes Birmingham, Manchester, London, Bradford and Leicester campus based in the Birmingham campus.

Reports to:  Assistant Manager - Exams and Assessments

 

Purpose:

We are seeking a committed, dedicated, and detail-oriented Exams and Assessment Officer for our Manchester team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the examination and assessment process, ensuring the smooth running of all aspects related to exams and assessments.

 

Responsibilities:

1.      Conduct regular quality assurance checks to ensure data accessibility, accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity throughout the student lifecycle, from admission to graduation.

2.      Perform data entry tasks as required, including timetables and grades.

3.      Securely share data with authorised internal stakeholders in accordance with data privacy protocols.

4.      Provide authorised external stakeholders with relevant data while adhering to confidentiality regulations.

5.      Facilitate interdepartmental communication across all campus locations and serve as a point of contact for the department in Manchester.

6.      Assist with examination processes, including grading input, statistical analysis of the grades, and secure storage of examination materials.

7.      Ensure compliance with institutional policies, procedures, and regulations pertaining to academic misconduct (AMC), mitigation, complaints, and other related matters.

8.      Process certificates received from authorised stakeholders, ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping.

9.      Contribute to the planning and organisation of graduation ceremonies and related events.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Registrar or Assistant Manager of Exams and Assessments.

Essentials Requirements:

·         Bachelor's degree or higher in data science, mathematics or a related field focused on handling statistical data

·         Experience with data input, processing and reporting with a specific focus on statistical data

 

Desirable criteria:

·         Level 7 qualification with a focus on handling or processing statistical data

·         Experience working in a similar role (administrative) and/or within higher education

·         Knowledge of academic policies and regulations

·         Experience using PowerBi and/or Excel

 

Salary and Benefits:

·       £24,000 – 26,000 annum based on experience

 ·        Basic hours are 9am to 6pm on site

·        Occasional travel to other campuses

·        Holiday entitlement is 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays

·        Up to £5k annual incentives pro-rata given quarterly on meeting KPIs upon successful probation period

·        3% annual increase per year on completion from your start date of service and on meeting KPIs
