Operations Manager Job Description

Scholars School System is a project of UK CURRICULUM & ACCREDITATION BODY (UKCAB, a registered charity founded in 2006) is looking for an Operations Manager across all campuses which includes Birmingham, Manchester, London, Bradford and Leicester based in the Birmingham campus.

 Scholars School System is a national independent higher education provider, offering world class education. Taught programmes delivered in partnership with Leeds Trinity University and Central Bedfordshire College and courses ranges from Foundation Year, Higher Nationals to Undergraduate Degrees. Over 5000 (UK and EU) learners have successfully completed their journey in last five years and current student population is around 3000.

Reports to: Director of Operations
 

Purpose

Scholars School System is seeking to appoint an Operations Manager who will be responsible for overseeing key business processes, manage the day to day activities of the centres, make sure working environment maintains access to quality equipment and also support all functions of the business to work together.

 

Responsibilities

·        Overseeing key business processes.

·        Managing the day-to-day running of the Centre.

·        Creating and monitoring projects and teams.

·        Reviewing workloads and manpower to ensure targets are met.

·        Supporting the Senior Managements vision and process ideals.

·        Ensuring staff working on processes are happy and operating efficiently.

·        Supporting all functions of the business to work together.

·        Responsible for the production, procurement, and planning of daily operations.

·        Makes sure the working environment maintains access to quality equipment.

·        Any other duties assigned as required.

Requirements 

Essential

·        Two or more years UK experience in an operations management role, preferably in Higher Education.

·        Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant discipline (Project Management)

·        Ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organisational control of branch operations and customer service.

·        Proficiency in business negotiation processes and knowledge of business productivity.


Salary and Benefits

·        £30,000 – £35,000 depending on qualifications and UK experience

·        Basic hours are 9am to 6pm on site

·        Trips away from the office are often required 

·        Holiday entitlement is 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays

·        Up to £5k annual incentives pro-rata given quarterly on meeting KPIs upon successful probation period

·        3% annual increase per year on completion from your start date of service and on meeting KPIs
