Partnership and External Relations Manager in Higher Education

Scholars School System a project of UK CURRICULUM & ACCREDITATION BODY (UKCAB, a registered charity founded in 2006) having campuses across the United Kingdom, is looking for a Partnership/ External Relations Manager in Higher Education across all campuses which includes Birmingham, Manchester, London, Bradford and Leicester based in Birmingham campus.

Scholars School System is a national independent higher education provider, offering world class education. Taught programmes, ranging from Foundation Year through to Level 7, delivered in partnership with institutions such as Leeds Trinity University. Over 5000 (UK and EU) learners have successfully completed their learning journey in the last five years with the current student population is over 3000.

Reports to: Higher Management

 

Purpose

Scholars School System is seeking to appoint a Partnership and External Relations Manager in Higher Education who will be responsible in ensuring effective communication with partners, support development of new business opportunities, oversee the development of new partnerships in Higher Education. You will be responsible for collaborating with faculty, and senior leaders on innovations and goals and development of plan for implementation.


Responsibilities

·        Being accountable for maintaining current partnerships and overseeing the development of new partnerships in Higher Education.

·        Ensuring effective communication is in place with partners.

·        Supporting the development of new business opportunities

·        Managing projects such as press conferences, thought-leadership events, executive interviews issues management

·        Creating and driving a pro-active programmer of external relations initiatives such as media announcements, executive interviews, by-liner article placement

·        Managing colleagues on administrative and organisational tasks such as client mailings, maintenance of client database.

·        Co-ordinating, process and track incoming community investment requests

·        Collaborating with, faculty and senior leaders on innovations and goals and develop plans for implementation

·        Gathering and organising information from a variety of sources and present in a clear and concise manner – both written and verbal

·        Highly visible role, both externally and internally, requiring regular interaction with senior management

 

Requirements

Essentials

 

·        PhD/MSc. in a related field with relevant experience in setting up new and managing existing partnerships.

·        Partnerships/ External Relations Management experience in Higher Education (essential)

·        Recommending changes to existing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with partner university guidelines

·        Self-motivated, team-oriented individuals who can thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment

·        Practical experience in the marketing or Practice Area/knowledge group or client team/business development areas, international experience a plus

·        Strong technical and analytical skills, experience in database management preferred

·        Ability to work in a dynamic team environment with constantly changing priorities

·        Knowledge in advanced Microsoft packages

 

 

Salary and Benefits

·        £30,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience)

·        Basic hours are 9 am to 6 pm on site

·        Evening and weekend work required as appropriate 

·        Trips away from the office are often required 

·        Holiday entitlement is 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays

·        Up to £5k annual incentives pro-rata given quarterly on meeting KPIs upon successful probation period

·        3% annual increase per year on completion from your start date of service and on meeting KPIs
