Scholars School System is a project of UK CURRICULUM & ACCREDITATION BODY (UKCAB, a registered charity founded in 2006) having campuses across the United Kingdom, is looking for a Property Management Officer across all campuses based in the Birmingham campus.

Job Purpose

  • Must have experience of buying, letting and sales of properties
  • Must have experience of contacting main letting agents and liaise with them 
  • Must be familiar with different areas within the UK 
  • Must have experience of preparing and managing budgets 
  • Must be able to attract new tenants through advertisements, property viewings, and encouraging referrals
  • Must be able to interview tenants and run credit checks 
  • Must be able to set rental rates, negotiating and enforcing leases agreements 
  • Must have experience of collecting rent and other property fees from tenants and individual owners 
  • Must be able to address tenant complaints and inspecting vacated units 
  • Must be able to report the property’s financial status, occupancy and expiring leases to property owners 
  • Must have experience of inspecting properties, coordinating renovations and upgrades, writing reports, and maintaining accurate records 
  • Must be able to meet potential tenants, showing them the property and assessing their applications in accordance with anti-discrimination laws
  • Must be able to work with a team of professionals, including architects, engineers, facility managers, and contractors to ensure that properties are well maintained and meet the needs of their occupants 
  • Must have experience of paying property expenses, including taxes, mortgages, payrolls, insurance premiums, and maintenance costs
  • Must be able to maintain occupancy rules 
  • Must be physically present to visit all properties

 

Report to: Head of Operations 

 

Skills and Qualification

 

  • Excellent knowledge of the property and real estate market 
  • One or two years’ experience in the field or similar capacity 
  • Strong negotiation skills 
  • Great management and organisational skills 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Property Management or Real Estate Management 
  • Working knowledge of word-processing tools and other relevant computer software, including Microsoft Office 
  • Working knowledge of financial principles 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Ability to work well in a team 
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision 

 

Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 per annum based on experience
